ABOUT ME

Writing is at the core of my experiences. Such as, always being the one who's picked to tell a scary story at childhood sleepovers because after all, you're the writer. Scrawling the dialogue from the perfect scene you just thought of on kitchen roll midway through making dinner. The wondrous moment when you realise what your voice and style are. And like pretty much every writer, it is my favourite thing to do.

I graduated in 2017 with a BA(Hons) in Screenwriting and have written several comedic scripts. During my time at university, I wrote a comedy pilot titled "Together" which was nominated in several festivals, performed as part of the LA Scripted Comedy Festival, and won in the TV Series category in the Portugal FEST - Pitching Forum.

I also wrote and produced a trailer and pilot for my comedy web series "You Can Do Better", which followed a cat obituary writer who embarks on a mission to change her life. From this, I was commissioned to produce the pilot on a micro-budget for Channel Fluxx.

Since university, I've written and directed several shorts including "After The Beep", a short comedy-drama about a girl who leaves a series of increasingly embarrassing and emotional voicemails for her ex-boyfriend.  The short was featured on the site The Light Leaks, which champions female and gender non-conforming filmmakers. I also wrote and directed "I Shaved For This", a comedy short about the hilariously impossible and beauty expectations put on women which screened at Hidden River Film Festival.

Recently, I penned a short comedy-drama script Decisions, Decisions. It focuses on a woman who, after unintentionally becoming pregnant, turns to her one-night stand to be her confidante. This was recently selected as a Quarterfinalist in the Bluecat Screenplay Competition 2021.
